Frequently asked questions
How long should a password be?
At least 16 characters, or 5 passphrase words, for important accounts. Use a password manager so you don't need to remember them.
Is the password sent anywhere?
No. It's generated by your browser and never leaves this page.
What does 'bits' mean?
How many guesses an attacker would need: every extra bit doubles it. 80 bits or more is very strong.
