URL Encoder
Percent-encode text so it is safe to use in a URL or query parameter.
How it works
- 1Paste text or a URL.
- 2Choose whether it is a single value or a whole URL.
- 3Copy the encoded result.
Features
- Component mode encodes every reserved character (for query values).
- Full URL mode keeps :/?&= so the URL still works.
- UTF-8 for accents and emoji.
- Private: runs in your browser.
Frequently asked questions
Which mode do I need?
Encoding a value to put after ?name= : use component. Cleaning up a whole address with spaces: use full URL.
Why do spaces become %20?
Percent-encoding uses %20. Some forms use + for spaces instead; the decoder understands both.
Is anything sent?
No. It runs in your browser.
