Frequently asked questions
Hyphens or underscores?
Google recommends hyphens in URLs; it treats them as word separators.
Should I remove words like 'the' and 'of'?
Shorter slugs are easier to read and share. Remove them if the slug still makes sense.
What happens to other alphabets?
Latin, Cyrillic and Greek are converted. Other scripts (like Chinese or Arabic) are left out, so write those slugs by hand.
